Our Pastor and History

City Church began meeting in March 1989 at Maroochydore State High School and has continued to grow, moving from the high school to a rented warehouse, and finally to our own building in Maroochydore, the heart of the Sunshine Coast, which is currently home.

The founding and senior pastor of City Church is Ed Luther.  Ed is passionate about helping people achieve their full potential in Christ. 

Ed’s education background includes a BBA in Accounting from Western Michigan University and a two year Diploma of Ministry and Biblical Studies from RHEMA Bible Training Centre, Tulsa.  He has a corporate business and finance background and lives with his wife Gail and son Mitchel on the Sunshine Coast.
